Window Seat With Storage London

book a free design visit

A window seat turns an underused spot — particularly a bay window — into both seating and storage, built to fit the exact shape and width of the window recess. We design and build window seats made to measure, with storage built into the base.

Bay and Straight Window Seats

Bay windows are one of the best spots for a window seat — the recess naturally creates a defined space, and the angled or curved shape can be followed exactly rather than fitting a straight bench into a curved bay and leaving gaps.
Straight windows can still work well for a window seat, particularly where there’s a run of wall either side that a fitted bench can extend into, giving more seat length and storage than the window recess alone would allow.

Storage Options

The bench base can be built as lift-up storage (a hinged seat top opening onto the space below), or as drawers built into the front, depending on how you want to access what’s stored. Useful for books, blankets, toys, or anything else you want out of sight but close at hand — particularly effective in a living room, bedroom, or window nook used as a reading spot.

Finishes
Bench frames can be finished to match your other fitted furniture, with a choice of cushion fabrics and colours to suit the room. Worth bringing fabric or paint samples to your design visit if you’re matching to existing decor.
